Join us for a 'Freestyle Sailing Experience'. Depart at the Cruise Ship Pier and Sail the beautiful clear blue waters of the Caribbean Sea to the Snorkeling location inside Jamaica's National Marine Park, on the shores of Montego Bay. Mask and snorkel are provided to assist with the viewing the wonderful Underworld of the Marine Park. When snorkeling and swimming are completed the Rum punch will start to flow. Good morning, SMDers!

Beautiful day here so I have the patio door open to let this crud that Kenny and I have out of here. I think he is feeling alot better. I was horrid last night and stayed in bed until around 10 this morning, took a shower and now I feel somewhat better. Nothing like being squeaky clean to feel better, plus I shaved the legs so I could put on shorts. Yesterday I stayed in my Looney jammies and shirt. OK so the legs were TMI.:D

Kenny found a meat market it Mount Dora that is about 25 mins away so we shall go and check that out on Tuesday. I am still working on my month's shopping list and have up to 15 days worth of dinners. Today I hope to do the rest as I am resting and doing nothing else.

Janet, yep I think all this crud was caught on the ship by someone that was giving it away.lol

I hope you are having a super time, Rich and West. Then the rest of you all go on the Matey's cruise, I know you all are excited.

It has been an especially tumultous week for us here. The memorial service was very emotional but a tribute to life well lived. The church was packed and there was much laughter. Ron would have been very pleased.

We are adjusting to our son being a single dad. The girls came over tonight for dinner, and they seem to be ok as well. I think that is what worries me the most; is that the girls are surviving this split. It's been very acrimonious between my son and dil, but they are putting all aside to ensure the little ones are as comfortable as they can be, given the situation.

Still haven't heard back from the dive company, they must be on island time :rolleyes:

Well all my friends and friends to be...short and sweet it must be as I have books to do in the morning

Andrea, my soulmate, hang in there. Kids can handle alot more than adults do I think. Afterall they have you and that makes it A OK. Don't count us out yet on the cruise. We are still seeing what happens.

Another beautiful day here in Lady Lake mid 70's. They were saying all week and now we have a stupid cold front moving in so 60's on some days. OK not bad but I would rather have the 70's.lol

Janet, no we will still be doing the one cabin, even if Nick comes,

but I think we will have to upgrade to a OV, or Balcony.

I don't think he will settle for inside cabin.

and I don't think I want to be with him if he is not happy LOL

so if we upgrade, we will upgrade with a 3rd.

Dawn will be our 3rd.

I think we will be fine with the extra room of a Balcony.

Maybe the Cove, but still not sure on that either.

And Dawn will take the sofa bed, she said she was good with that.

Now we just have to wait for him to make up his mind.

Wow, sounds like a lot of upheaval going on with people these days. I'm very sorry to hear. If anybody needs a shoulder to cry or lean on, I can provide.

 

Getting back into the swing of things here... or trying to with the looking blizzard. Some people are claiming we could see 4 inches an hour. I think that's hype though.

Good evening SMDers. Hope everyone is better then I am doing. OK, here is what is going on. Last week I was helping West trim his trees and we were cutting a branch when half way through it snapped and broke, throwing me off the ladder from about 9 - 10 ft. Off to the ER we went and I ended up (so far) with 3 breaks in my left wrist and a possible torn tendon (mri on Wed) and ribs 3 - 8 on the left side all broke. Can you say OUCH? Now there is something wrong with the left knee that they are going to check on in the morning. I haven't been able to read the past posts but, I will catch up later this week. Kinda tough to type with just one hand.

But, being as tough as I am, yes I did go one the cruise. The doctor said it was perfect time for a cruise or she would admit me to the hospital. West wheeled me to and from eating. That's all I did, no shows, nothing in Cozumel and didn't even go to the casino. Got lots of rest!

OK, so that's it. I will check back in a few days. Ya'll have a good week.

Sure hope you will be better soon. Ribs sometime take awhile to heal them selves so you may be in for a bit of discomfort for awhile....:eek:

 

I can relate to the typing with one hand. I`ve done it most of the time since carpal tunnel surgery last September and no it ain`t easy....:(

RICH!!! What can I say. I'm so sorry to hear about this. If you need help typing to anyone just say the word!! I hope you feel better ASAP! And from now on, you are on restriction from West's house and wet floors!
