and then at the end of the month a root Canal, would rather that be the Panama Canal, cost about the same LOL

anyway, no pulling or crown YET

Dale and I are having lunch Wednesday so hopefully I'll know if Pete's going or not and can start getting some stuff booked.

Thanks Sadie, I have been putting up with this tooth pain for a couple months now,

but was starting to get scared that it would never go away, and would cause my death LOL ( people told me it could kill me)

so I went in to get it checked out.

 

Bobbie, it will cost me about $250 after Ins. that is not bad. (thankful for ins)

Just hope the root Canal and filling will last, and no crown will be needed

that would be the price of the Panama Canal Cruise :eek:

 

Sherri, that will be great if you and Dale come in a day early.

Do you think Pete wants to come, or will he let you all have a Girls Cruise again. Mike can't come right...

Yes Bobbie I did see that you will be in on the 24th.

I was pretty sure I knew that, cuz I told Chelle that when we were deciding if we wanted to come in a day early.

Heck the last two times we stayed a day after, and for petes sake for both, the weather was awful in Fl.

I am hoping for a sunny day in Gal. the 24th :p

This is going to be an extra port day for us, Chelle said she read the Hotel Galvez has Bikes we can use to do sight see if we like.

And there is a market about 3 blocks from the hotel for supplies

 

Sadie, if you can drive I think you would be better off, Trans. Costs seem to be killer. You can leave your car at the hotel for I think it was $15 for the week.

But if you do come in at IAH, on the 24th, we will be getting a shuttle to the Hotel around 6:30 It is $145 split as many ways as possible, up to 10.

At the moment our 3 are looking at $50 each :eek: but better than trying to rent a car ;)

 

Hi Vicki, how are you doing this morning....Or does it just feel like she went to school, and you'll see her later.

Now a days with the internet it might be easier to keep in contact. at least there is that.

Sherri I was wondering what airline Andrea was thinking too. It would be great if we were all on the same flight

Remember the Dream, we had 8 on that flight.

 

Bobbie, I think SW goes to the other airport, so the shuttle sharing wont work.

But at least the shuttle from there is cheaper.

 

And for the rest of ya, get those rooms booked, you can always cancel if for some reason, something doesn't work out

Good morning all!!!

 

I looked at all the activities that are planned for each day and assuming Monday & Thursday are formal nights.....looks as if the Steakhouse for our group will need to be on Wednesday Feb. 29....Feedback please???? Also need ideas on a time that most would like to eat. All our port days are 4:00 departure except Thursday and that is 6:00.

 

Vicki happy DD is safe and sound in her new home. Also hope Mom can start to cope with her being gone....You will just have to visit often..;)

Sadie I too thought of driving to the port, but since I will be alone, and since gas is probably going to be $5.00 a gallon :eek::eek: by that time, and I do have an awards ticket...... my plans now are to fly.

Good afternoon SMDers. Up early this morning to get Mom to the Dr only to have to wait over 1 1/2 hours before she was seen. Its going to be a long day since I still have 11 hours or work ahead of me.

Marie - I wasn't sure about a sail away, but if y'all want, we can all meet up on board the sky deck at 4 when we depart (if the drill isn't still happening). Also, Galveston does have a cruise cam so others can watch us depart on that day. Galveston also has a Wal-mart that is up the beach away from the hotel, but I plan to make a run later Saturday night for soda's and wine. Who ever needs to get things, that will be the time. (I'm sure other with vechiles will also go)

Sherri - you just tell your boss that you will be too sick (sick and tired) to come back to work after a week cruising;). Once you get your reservations made, please let me know so I can try to get y'all together on shuttles.

Bobbie - Wed looks fine for the Steakhouse dinner. Thanks again.

Lots of chatting going on. I got all caught up with the flights I forgot that I was driving. :o

I noticed that the Bloggers Cruise was the next week. Looking at all the activities planned for our group I don't think I'd have time for other activities anyway. I joked with Gary about a B2B and he said maybe. :D Just not sure the Hotel would accept the car there for 2 weeks.

I was going to ask about the gift exchange but I see all but the price range has been answered. Seems every time I have a question someone else answers it before I ask. ;)

We were discussing the Steakhouse on our walk this morning. Is there a number limit? I'm assuming (dangerous I know) everyone signing up wants to be at the same table.

To be on their part of the beach, PB expects you to purchase food and drink from them, at least $10

You can sit on the sand if you like, but they have lounge chairs for $2

and if you want to use the water toys, snorkel gear float mat and the like, they have a fun pass that is $12

Plus you have to Taxi there and back.

$12 for up to 4 people.

So going alone it is going to cost you $12 each way.

going in groups of four is $3pp each way.

Anything else, just ask and I will try to find an answer :p

I am planning on Paradise Beach for the day too! Since I have done the bar hop a relaxing day at the beach sounds wonderful.

Am finally starting to feel better. I sure hope that everyone who had this crud is on the road to recovery! Boy oh boy, it sure took the wind out of my sails!

Bobbie, I looked at air fare yesterday to Hobby and it is $560 and into George Bush was only a few dollars cheaper. I am going to wait it out before I buy anything. Geez, I can go to Hawaii for almost that. :eek:

Off to work..four more days and Saturday! Whoot Whoot! I did get offered the part time job I was looking into but I need to clarify the time I need off for vacations before I agree to work. Life is good!
