free WiFi on Opera

Hi, we'll cruising on MSC Opera in Oct and I'm just wondering if there is WiFi onboard and if it's free. Can I get it in my cabin? Not sure whether or not to bring my laptop. Thanks everyone.

Yes there's wifi on board and you can use your laptop in your cabin or any of the public areas. That's the good news. The bad is that no, it's not free. You can buy internet packages at the customer service desk in varying limits. The maximum (which I usually buy) is 500 minutes of usage for €60 (minus discounts if you're an MSC Club member). It's not the fastest wifi around but it works fine and it's very comfortable to be able to work in your cabin.
