How much do you spend?

I am looking at the budget and wondering how much do people normally spend....

We have the excursions pd, cruise pd, we don't drink, maybe 60 bucks total to play at the casino/bingo. I am not a huge shopper (looking for a ankle bracelet or toe ring) I really like window shopping! :) We found a 10 parking at NO Port! Great deal! So what am I forgetting? What things do you all spend your money on? Pictures- what is the normal price for those? I would like at least one for each day.

The most expensive prints for pictures are the formal 8x10 and they run around $20.00 each. The photos they take at the ship side in ports are typically 5x7 and they are around $10.00. Personally, I would take my own camera and snap as many shots as you can. You can weed through them later. I buy pictures but sometimes I am not happy enough with them to pay the price.

Also, the only other costs I figure in is some memento from the ship. I usually get a shot glass (around $5.00) or a T-shirt (they usually have a sale at some point on each cruise and you can get 2 T-shirts for $20.00). I hope this helps.

We don't spend a lot either. I bring my two bottles of champagne, hubby buys a few beers and maybe another drink or two. I'm not a shopper but do purchase a couple of souvenirs and pictures of the family (sorry don't remember the price). I did buy one mimosa one morning during the "special price" time, but it was a small glass so didn't buy anymore. Husband did buy a round of kamakazi shots in the disco one night cuz they are served in a souvenir shot glass that lights up. Hadn't had a kamakazi in a long time and it was good...very smooth.

Last cruise we didn't do any expensive excursions but this time we were going to the Atlantis waterpark (bought outside of Carnival but still a lot of money for 4 people) so we were really trying to be conservative on on much we spent on board. We had some OBC this cruise due to ES price drop program and ended up bringing home a check from Carnival to deposit in our bank - yea!

We do gamble but keep our gambling money separate. I actually came out ahead this time, but hubby didn't so it always evens out.

If you bring your own camera, drinks and just window shop, you could hold it under 100 for the week. Just a total relaxing no brainer type vacation would be cheap. Maybe some tips to the porters or room service.

Note: Of course this is totally hypothetical because we've never been able to accomplish. I have read where it has happened though.

You can take two bottles of wine and/or champagne per person. For my finance and myself we can take 4 bottles of wine for our cruises. So each person can carry on. There are glasses, but we drink ours with dinner. They keep it for you and bring to you each night, but that costs $14 per bottle (last time I checked). They call it a corkage fee.

Also, you have to carry it on. It cannot go into your checked bags.

You are allowed 750ml of wine per person plus a 12 pack of soda per person. These must be in your carry on luggage. Don't forget about the gratuities! If you purchase a drink make sure it's not in the signature glass or it will be more expensive!! Have fun!
