SallieC Posted September 15, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 15, 2011 Just traded down to 6005 for New York to Montreal. Has anyone had this State Room?
JudyA. Posted September 15, 2011 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2011 Hi Sallie - I have not had that particular stateroom, but I have been on the Regatta previously, and one couple we met on board had a deck 6 forward cabin, and they could hear rehearsing in the lounge in the afternoons (re: no napping!) and also at night until the band stopped for the evening. As a result, I always book deck 6 cabins in the rear (aft?).
JimandStan Posted September 15, 2011 #3 Share Posted September 15, 2011 Just traded down to 6005 for New York to Montreal. Has anyone had this State Room? We had an Aunt in 6005 when we were in the Vista Suite next door. The room itself is larger than a normal astateroom because the square footage of the veranda is incorporated into the room. The furnishings, however, are exactly the same as every other "C" stateroom. The window is an oversized porthole, rather than the standard rectangular shape. Aunt Joan saide that she liked it bevause it reminded her that she was at sea. :D
lalique Posted September 16, 2011 #4 Share Posted September 16, 2011 Just traded down to 6005 for New York to Montreal. Has anyone had this State Room? We had this cabin on the Regatta for our 2009 Baltic cruise and we loved it. Since we were in port all but one day (and one day crossing the Kiehl Canal) we did not have time to make use of a balcony (out touring all day) so the extra space was great. We never felt any movement nor were we ever disturbed by any noise. Have the same type cabin on Deck 7 booked for a Med cruise in October.
zula Posted September 16, 2011 #5 Share Posted September 16, 2011 Hello, We had cabin 6007 on the Nautica on a 25 day cruise. Never heard any music, not in the afternoon or at night. Only if the sea gets rough you get more motion in the bow of the ship. Regards, Sonja
PSP cruiser Posted September 17, 2011 #6 Share Posted September 17, 2011 Just traded down to 6005 for New York to Montreal. Has anyone had this State Room? We had 6004 on Regatta's last Alaska cruise, same location as yours. but on the port side. Could hear daytime rehearsal noise and evening showtime noise, but for us it was never a problem. Loved the extra cabin space and the LARGE round window. The lack of drawer storage was a problem. The small bathroom and the ridiculously tiny shower equals a one-time-only Oceania cruise for us.
