ok found out my stateroom is on deck 3 is this bad???

Congratulations on your engagement!!! (if this is who I think it is!!!!) We met you on the catamaran in st. lucia - after the lady fell in!! my daughter was the one blowing her conch shell!!

Thanks for asking, OP...I'll be in an OV on Deck 3 in about 6 weeks! :D

 

...and they say the lower you are on the ship the less movement you feel...

Having said that...this has always made me wonder, why is it that the higher the deck, the more the cabin cost? For example, why would an OV on deck 3 cost more than one on deck 2? Is it simply that the view is considered better?

We were on deck 2 on Rhapsody, it was fine had an ocean view. Seas were very calm for me anyway. I think one night I could feel some movement in the theater but that was it. We were in the middle of the ship for the most part and felt nothing for the most part. Deck 2 is quiet, you can sleep with out the noises of the upper decks etc....
