Lisabell Spez Posted April 1, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2004 Happy Day! We're in the process of planning a group cruise for next March on the Pride of Aloha. So far we've got 5 couples going with a few more people on the fence. Can you make reservations at the main dining rooms on NCL just to ensure that our large group can sit together (or at least at a couple of tables next to each other)? Thanks for any info! BruceMuzz Posted April 1, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 1, 2004 The operation of a diningroom on a Freestyle ship is very much like a large restaurant on land. If you show up at the door with a party of 10 or larger, they may not be able to take you right away. But if you call ahead or speak to the diningroom manager in advance, there is usually no problem at all. When you get aboard the ship, ask for the F&B Director or REstaurant Manager. Tell him what you have planned. He can assist you in making it a special occasion.
gdries Posted April 2, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 2, 2004 We had a couple of large CC gatherings for dinner 12+ people on the Sky, and had no problem working through the concierge to get things set up. It is not an issue if you give some notice. As well if you have a favorite waiter, which by then enough of us will have sailed her that we can offer some recommends you can ask for that person as well. It actually is far more flexible than traditional cruising. You just have to know how it works and then make it work for you. My experience with NCL, after 6 cruises is that "NO" is not a word they like to use very often. Aloha Hawaii
