Dmgmd50 Posted October 3, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 3, 2011 We are docking in Monaco and want to take the No.100 bus to Beaulieu. There we want to change to the No 81 bus to Cap Ferrat (to the Villa Ephrusi). A few questions: Where do you pay for the bus: on board the bus, at a machine, etc? Are there transfers from one bus to another? Does anyone know at which stop in Beaulieu one can transfer?
Ship's Wake Posted October 4, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 4, 2011 We did this exact itinerary this past May. You can purchase your ticket from the driver when you board. Transfers to another bus are allowed. Here's links to the timetables for bus 100 http://www.lignesdazur.com/ftp/lignes_FR/100%20hiver.pdf and bus 81 http://www.lignesdazur.com/ftp/lignes_FR/ligne%2081%20(au%2001%2006%2011).pdf Pont Saint Jean in Beaulieu is your transfer stop. See www.lignesdazur.com for the timetable on the day you travel. I highly recommend you do the tea room lunch at Villa Ephrusi. Get there just as the tea room opens and you'll have first pick of tables with outstanding views of the gardens and the Mediterranean. This day was one of the highlights of our cruise - you are in for a real treat.

Ship's Wake Posted October 4, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 4, 2011 Great information. Do you know which bus stop in Monaco is closest to where the ship docks? We boarded at Place d'Armes. Here's another cc thread that has some additional details: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=962604&highlight=monaco+bus+100+stops If the directions are not clear, just ask anyone you see on the street which way to Place d'Armes. We have found that many people in Monaco have at least a passing understanding of English.
Can'tstopcruising Posted October 6, 2011 #5 Share Posted October 6, 2011 Check out Tripadvisor. I seem to recall taking only one bus. We spent several hours there. We were the only "boat people"! We enjoyed it very much. Although the tearoom is lovely, we found it very expensive.
