suziehmkr Posted April 1, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2005 Hello All! I love coming here! Now I am here for advice for a friend. We are already booked on our holiday cruise to Hawaii in a mini-suite. Now a friend of ours wants to book for him & his 2 sons. Since he needs at least a triple - and selection is dwindling, he needs to choose between an Inside on Aloha or Baja or and Ocean View on the Plaza Deck. The difference in price is only about $450. Higher decks have more movement right? The main concern, I guess, would be that the Cat D cabins on Plaza Deck are under the casino. Is noise an issue on this ship? We had a noise problem last year under the casino on RCCL's Legend. There are Ocean View cabins on Emerald Deck, but they are obstructed by the lifeboats. Any comments from those that have stayed in any of these cabins in question? Higher deck in an Inside, or lower deck under the casino with an ocean view? Looks to be only port hole views since it is the lowest cabin deck. THANKS!!
calikak Posted April 1, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 1, 2005 I don't know about the Island, but I was in an inside cabin under the casino on the Sapphire and heard no noise, and it was on a one-night cruise when the casino was heavily in use. But like I said, I don't know about the Island, they may have worse sound-proofing.
ahracer Posted April 1, 2005 #3 Share Posted April 1, 2005 I'd take the ocean view. I think on a 15 night cruise the ability to see outside and have sunlight in the cabin would be a positive. Scott
mii Posted April 1, 2005 #4 Share Posted April 1, 2005 I agree on the ocean view. 15 days is a long time without some sunlight. Marilyn
