Cancelled excursion in Miami this week

My friend just called from the Dawn and said her excusion to the Fountainbleu Hotel was cancelled. I wonder if this is due to the fires in Miami. Anyone know? Thanks.

We were on this excursion just one week ago, and this cancellation may have something to do with two bus loads of people having their NCL beach towels stolen. The tour guides told everyone to leave their towels on the buses since we could use the hotel's, but when we all were taken back to the ship, everyone's towels were gone. NCL was actually very understanding and no one was charged for their towel.

I just returned today from the Dawn. Had great weather, however, I did not book that excusion and I was not aware of it being cancelled. Took the Island Hopper bus to South beach and Bayside. I was a great day.

I am scheduled for the Fountainbleu excursion next week (sailing April 11), so if anyone has more info about this, please pass it along. This is an important excursion for me because we are celebrating our 20th anniversary, and we visited the Fountainbleu on our honeymoon. It would be a bummer for us if it were cancelled.

It's a good idea to confirm all your excursions by calling the # above. A few weeks ago a few of us that booked excursions online were told they were never recieved. Good luck

I just called the NCL shore excursions desk (800 327 7030), and they said that the Fountainbleu excursion was cancelled this week because the hotel was fully booked for Easter Week and they could not accomodate the crowds from the cruise lines. I have my doubts about the validity of this claim because it seems to me that the hotel would have known that they were full long before this, and NCL should not have continued accepting bookings on this excursion for this week.

I wonder just how many people have this excursion booked for this week and will be so disappointed.

My friend who is on the Dawn now and had this excursion booked said they sent them to a lovely hotel in Miami and it was beautiful. The kids were having a great time. I am not sure of the hotel, if she calls today I will post later.

Yes, the excursion is booked and I have a confirmation number. We will be disappointed if we don't get to the Fountainbleu as it has a sentimental value for us, but if they substitute another nice hotel I guess it won't be a total loss.

Any news on this excursion. I have it booked and have confirmation for the 4/25 sailing. I spent a while on hold today and decided to try CC instead.
