Rhodes excursion planning

We will be in Rhodes from 9-6pm and I'm trying to figure out the best way to spend the day. Can you use up 8 hours walking around the old town and seeing the shops etc..or can we also fit in a trip to Lindos?

 

If we can do both is it better to do lindos first since it's farther out?

You don't need 8 hours for Old Town and yes you can do Lindos with lots of Old Town time. Go to Lindos in the morning. Try to beat the buses if you are going DIY by cab.
