Best shopping in Western Caribbean

Best being what? Best prices, best selection, best deals, best "designer shop", most stores, best markets......People look at shopping through very different eyes.

Here's my take on the ports you are sailing to:

ROATAN: I think it's changed since I've sailed there. I believe ther is a new cruise pier area. Not sure I'd count on this location for shopping.

BELIZE: Port is pretty much just built for ships and will have the regular touristy stuff.

COZUMEL: TONS of shops. Lots of handicrafts (made boht in Mexico AND china ;) lots of liquor stores, jewelry stores, junk and T-shirt shops. Its a kitschy place to shop if you like island junk......which I do.

CAYMAN: Much higher end than Cozumel. Designer stores and very expensive jewelry shops. Lots of places to shop, but much better quality = higher prices.

So there you go!

Yup...if you're looking for the best quantity of shopping for the ports you listed, it's Cozumel. They have a large number of shops to choose from (especially downtown near the Forum), and generally the least expensive prices. You can usually successfully haggle on prices in Coz. Caymans have the BEST shops as in: best quality/highest prices...+ no haggling.
