joll Posted October 26, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 26, 2011 Has anyone sailed in these cabins on Deck 10, B726, B731 or B729?? Or perhaps similarly shaped cabins on Decks 9 & 11. What is the design like? Any problems with vibration, noise, movement etc.? These are the cabins Princess are offering during this week's sale and I'm just wondering if they are having trouble selling them for any particular reason. Any advice would be appreciated. happyaussies Posted October 26, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 26, 2011 looks like the same as you are asking but front..... last cruise we had A743 and we felt a little more closed in than compared to the R315-your configuration As for vibrations, we felt more vibrations in A743 back than R315. We thought as we were above the big propellers....don't know. BTW we are sailing in a few weeks and have moved back to the cabin next to our orginals....R311 so we love that style.........GO FOR IT without hestation for comfort but I guess it is all a matter of choice. Hopes this helps a little! B&B
happyaussies Posted October 26, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 26, 2011 hope this gives you a little idea? The mirror/dressing table was located bottom left. The cabin door bottom right directed end of beds, while this photo seems to be taken from the bathroom door - looking back into the cabin. We like the layout. Billy and Charlie's Mum Posted October 26, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 26, 2011 This was A711 on Dawn Princess. We liked this configuration. There was a bit of vibration from the engine, but nothing to worry us. If the price is good, go for it!
joll Posted October 30, 2011 Author #5 Share Posted October 30, 2011 Thanks for the information and photos. It appears these cabins may have more space around the desk area so won't have the usual problem of having to move from the desk or ensuring that drawers are not being opened before the other person exits the bathroom. This is the first time we have booked last minute as we usually book way ahead of time to secure a more midship position. However the Princess sale price for the cruise to NZ was less than half what we paid last year, so will just have to take our chance with a cabin down the back - don't spend much time there anyway!! floatie Posted November 1, 2011 #6 Share Posted November 1, 2011 We just returned from a cruise in one of these cabins. Single beds are a must otherwise it was ok.
