Blackjack and Poker tournaments

I'm curious to know if anyone knows the payout percentage for blackjack and poker tournaments. I assume it's not a set amount since the amount of people that play differs, therefore a percentage of the buy-ins would be my guess.

If I recall correctly, the house kept 25% of the buy-in in the poker tournament...which is obscene.

 

It was still fun, and probably profitable in the long run given the skill level of most of the participants.

Don't know about the poker tournament, but the BJ tournament has a first (and only) prize of $500.00, regardless of the # of entries. A real profit maker for NCL.

The Blackjack tournament needs to have a minimum number of people play before the $500 payout. Second place is a t-shirt.

Last two Blackjack tournaments I entered payed: $400 cash for first and $200 casino credit for second. I got second.

Poker is Texas Hold Em and payout depends on how many enter and how many rebuys. Not a huge amount, maybe $500 max.

Lots of rookies, so lots of fun in both of them.
