Riding a Scooter From New Orleans Port to Hotel

Recommended Posts

I'm assuming that walking for some parts of travel from the ship will be ok. There are railroad tracks, steps and pavers/bricks to navigate. It certainly is not a sidewalk all the way. Most don't try to walk it with luggage, but of course a few do. It's not a fun walk. We take a cab for a few bucks.

We did end up doing this. We departed the Voyager on January 14, 2012 and were able to scoot/walk through the riverwalk mall and then exited at the very end. They don't have an elevator taking you to street level, but they have a well hidden ramp at the end.

it was a little bumpy going over the RR tracks, but once on Canal street it was smooth sailing. We used Advance Check in to take our luggage from the port to our hotel.
