Weather in NOLA in March

What is the typical weather in NOLA in March? The wife and I are coming down a couple of days early to explore the French Quarter and surrounding area and wondering what type of clothes to wear. Thanks for all the help.

Yes, very unpredictable in March. In general, New Orleans is unpredictable in all months and it is best to check the forecast before packing. The good thing about March and April is that you won't have the extreme heat that can come as early as May. For March, the night time temps can be as low as in the mid 30's (rare but over the past few years, I found the weather pattern crazy) or in the 70's. March is one of the more pleasant months in New Orleans.
