cu19821 Posted October 19, 2012 Author #51 Share Posted October 19, 2012 OK, I am prepared to be flamed, but I have to admit that we are once again going on the Ecstasy this December. If you saw my earlier posts, it was clear that I was a bit disappointed in the cruise from a food standpoint, but otherwise was pretty pleased, especially for the value and itinerary. Well that same rationale applies again, as my son is graduating from Florida State (with two degrees!!) this December and we wanted to give him a graduation present. Long story short, this cruise worked the best from a time, itinerary and price standpoint so the whole family (all six of us this time) are going. My expectations are adjusted, but I am excited to be going with the whole family. Both my daughters have informed me that cruising (any cruise) is the ONLY appropriate vacation for them:p. Will follow up after the trip and looking forward to HMC....
sept2405 Posted October 19, 2012 #52 Share Posted October 19, 2012 I will be leaving on her on 10/27. I am leaving with an open mind as I have read some negative things about the food also. I'm taking my 83 year old mom and my best friend with me. Whenever I'm with them I have a good time anyway, but I will definitely write a review when I return to give you heads up in case anything has changed. RuthlessBoss Posted October 19, 2012 #53 Share Posted October 19, 2012 I'm going early Nov., my 3rd on this ship. Call it "settling" but my cruise will not be ruined if all is not perfect in the food line. I just hope the entertainment and shows are okay now that Steve (CD) and Jerry (one man entertainer) are gone. Going in less than stellar cabin (PT), but where else can you go 5 nights, eat, be entertained, casino, shows etc. for $199?
