Thanks for taking the time to post such a detailed and interesting review. We had a great time on the Dawn last fall and it is great to hear that it is still going well. My favourit resataurant was Aqua, probably because of the great service we got there rather than the decor. We also had a great time at Salsa very pleasent, helpful wait staff there and we loved being able to hear the piano music drifting up from below.
Thanks for bringing back all those great memories and helping me 'relive' that cruise.

I did the research on the Relief Band for my wife and 15 year old son. They are both prone to motion sickness, and we did not want to take a chance on the Atlantic being choppy and ruining one or more days of our vacation. All the things I heard about the Relief Band were good and I was considering getting it. But I found out that if you get seasick on the ship, you can go to the ship's doctor and get a shot that will bring you relief in about 5 minutes for only $10. That was the plan, but my wife went to her doctor and got a prescription for Antivert a couple of days before we left. She took one the night before we left for the cruise, and took one on Sunday night before we went to bed. On Monday, when the seas were very rough (60 knot winds and 15 foot seas), although many people on the ship were sick, she was fine. My son got sick because he did not take any precautions, but the Antivert made him feel better after a couple of hours. It works better if you take it in advance. My wife was cautioned about drinking alcohol with the drug, but she had a couple of glasses of wine and was fine.
My advice is that if you are prone to motion sickness, take a precaution for the day at sea on Monday. Otherwise, you should be fine.

The photos are taken all over the ship at different times. One night they have a pirate go around the ship to all the restaurants and take pictures of everyone with him standing behind you with his knife at your neck. Some of the faces people made in the photos were hilarious! Every day they post the photos and offer them for sale.
