Well, we need some clarification.

The Miracle doesn't sail out of Galveston in March 2012 only Ft. Lauderdale.

If you are sailing on the Magic or the Triumph out of Galveston then probably the easiest and cheapest if you are flying in day of is the Carnival shuttle.......next to that is Super Shuttle or a Taxi for ~$90 for up to 4 people.

Thanks for the information and the correction

No problem, the biggest thing to remember is that Hobby is about an hour from Galveston Island. Unlike Port Canaveral where you can rent a one way car to drive from Orlando to PC, there are no car rental agencies open on Sunday in Galveston.

Most of us fly in or drive in a day early and if you stay somewhere on Seawall Blvd (Quality Inn, Comfort Inn, Best Western.........go to galveston.com to see all the selections) there will be several restaurants within walking distance and a few grocery stores too......Harborhouse hotel is within walking distance of the pier, so that's a cool option too.

It's a $20 cab ride to the port (inclusive of tip) for up to 4 people.

If you are flying in the day of embarkation, the the easiest and least hassle is to book the Carnival transfer both ways.

Even though your docs say boarding starts at 12:30, I always arrive at the pier at 10:30 and we're usually on the ship by 11:30.

2 weeks ago I did a disjointed B2B on the Conquest and the Triumph, we were on the ship at 11:30 on the Conquest and 11:15 on the Triumph.
