beach snorkel VS tour snorkel

Has anyone done snorkel at jacks Shack off the beach VS say like blue water divers tour. JUST WANT TO do some good snorkeling while on GT

When we went on the Blue Water Divers snorkel tour a couple of years ago, the guide dropped us off in front of Jack's Shack. There were a few fish there, but nothing spectacular.

 

We thoroughly enjoyed the BWD tour and highly recommend them. We "met" another couple on the roll call board for our cruise and together we booked [they required minimum of four]. Small boat that was able to move on when the big, loud party boat showed up at our first location. Our guide was great! We'd do this tour again in a heartbeat.

When there is a nice beach, it is usually sandy, which is not a good snorkel location. For good snorkeling, you needs reefs, and rocks.
