Hotel day pass anywhere in cozumel?

We are cruising to Cozumel in Jan and would love to take a room at a nice resort and spend the day there. It would need to be fairly close to the port but would enjoy having a "quieter" beach option that where all the ship ends up. Ideas?

If you will be on a Carnival ship, when you are docked & looking at the shore, look a bit to your left & you will see a beach front hotel right past the XXX beer sign.

You can do a day pass here for about $12 US PP for the day & snorkeling is not real super but you are close & it is a short walk from the docking area.

Or, catch a cab to the Money Bar where you can snorkel for free & the cab is like $6US for two each way. They probably would like it if you spent some money there but it is not a requirement & the snorkeling is better.

Or, catch a cab to the MX Park called Channab [sp?] where the snorkeling is great but the cab is more & there is an admission as well.

Lots of choices there in Cozumel.

The Park Royal is to the left of the non downtown docks (1/2 mile walk?) They offer an all inclusive day pass for $40pp. The beach is small but the pools are great.
