I am planing the 9 day Eastern Caribbean on the Spirit for ten people in 4/05. Is it better to wait till closer to the cruise or are prices typically cheapest the further out it is?

I almost think it's like trying to buy stocks at their lowest point. Between now and then the cruise price may go up, down, or sell out. If you make the deposit now and the cruise goes down before your final payment then you can get the new rate.

Personally, I would book as soon as I made a decision as to which ship we are going to take. The earlier you book, the better choice of cabins. Plus, you wouldn't want to wait to the last minute and take a chance of the cruise selling out. Watch prices as previous poster indicated. I'm the play it safe rather than be sorry type of person!
