Tina0922 Posted December 6, 2011 #1 Share Posted December 6, 2011 Looking to book Navigator of the Seas and the best deals right now are for cat G ocean view with cabins on deck 3 and inside Promanade cabins. First off, the location of both category cabins there seems to be around public areas, Will noise be a factor for either? Second, the Cat G cabins are forward with the disco & main show lounge on each end of the row of cabins... is this such a good area with noise, heavy traffic, ect. Usually book a cabin on decks that are 'sandwhiched' between other cabin decks since I am light sleeper & EVERYTHING wakes me up. Any information on location, pros/cons for each category will be greatly appreciated. Thanks CCers. Tina
bbrad8 Posted December 6, 2011 #2 Share Posted December 6, 2011 Have not had either of these cabins on Navigator, but we did have a Category G OV cabin on Voyager. This was about 10 years ago now, on the original ship in this 'class of ships'. These cabins are actually in a very quiet area of the ship. ;) There is NO foot traffic that does not belong to these cabins. As I recall, these cabins have a very nice size 'porthole' window. As for your concern of noise from the Dungeon, Metropolis Theater or Studio B, we don't recall ever hearing a peep from any of the venues in the area. Don't have the exact cabin # we had, but we were in the area of 3256-3262. We had friends that sailed this same cruise on the port side in this same area that had the same experience. We have no experience w/ PR category, so can not help you there. Sorry!!! HTH. Bruce
Tina0922 Posted December 7, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted December 7, 2011 Well, that is good to know. Does anybody have info on the Promanade cabins???? Recently read they can be noisy from the Promanade music all hrs of the night. Any first hand experiences? Thanks- Tina
