YOUNGGRAMMIE Posted April 29, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 29, 2004 I keep reading about putting alcohol in water bottles and trying to take this on the ship, but what about actually taking a case of water? Is that allowed?
johnql Posted April 29, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 29, 2004 There is absolutely no prohibition on the bringing on of either water or soda.
trish1c Posted April 29, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 29, 2004 There's no need to bring a case of water. The water from the taps is just fine. Bring a bottle to have it but refill it as you go. Works great & you don't have to lug all that water. Trish
Kerrid Posted April 30, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 30, 2004 Hi - My husband and I took a case of water in our carry-ons onto the ship - not a problem! I highly recommend this rather than pay the premiums for the Evian bottled water in the stateroom. When we arrived at port in Miami, we restocked up on our water supply! Enjoy your cruise! seashore Posted April 30, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 30, 2004 Hello, We stocked up on water at several ports on our last cruise and was never questioned about bringing the bottles on board. Drink lots of water and have a great cruise!
SEAWAV4297 Posted April 30, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 30, 2004 We took a case of bottled water on in our checked luggage without a problem. Also made room for all the souveniers we brought back home.
mmceachn Posted April 30, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 30, 2004 We brought a twelve pack of bottled water on our first cruise to keep in the cabin and to take on shore to the beach. We were satisfied with the quality of the ships drinking water and ended up leaving 6 of the bottles for the cabin stewardess(We asked first and she was happy to have them) along with an extra cash tip. Now I just take a six pack of Poland water in my luggage so I can throw a bottle in my bag when we leave the ship SammyM
basketballmom Posted May 3, 2004 #8 Share Posted May 3, 2004 The smaller bottles are so much easier to carry around on excursions than the larger bottles they give you. We are planning on bringing our own water next trip. As Nina put it, we are "water snobs". Love my Poland Springs! texaseadevil Posted May 3, 2004 #9 Share Posted May 3, 2004 Have any of you been on NCL Sea and brought your water with you? NCL told me today, no way Jose. I can buy water on the ship! After an outbreak of the Norwalk Virus on the NCL Crown this week, I don't want to risk a gastrointenstinal flu. NCL didn't care. Think I'll just pack some in my checked luggage and *rasberry* on them. Let the water nazi's come-I'm ready NCL SEA 5/8/2004 ARE WE THERE YET??? macdays1 Posted May 15, 2004 #10 Share Posted May 15, 2004 I read a post once that someone took a case of bottled water onboard. They took one of the luggage tags (filled out with their name and cabin number) and put it with their luggage. It ended up outside their cabin with the rest of their luggage. I plan to do that myself in July when I go back on the Majesty. gardencat Posted May 15, 2004 #11 Share Posted May 15, 2004 Here is a a great idea: Buy a couple of bottles of vodka, empty out the vodka and re-fill with the water of your choice then bring on board in your carry one luggage. NCL will probably not even realize you are smuggling water on board.
sammymd Posted May 15, 2004 #12 Share Posted May 15, 2004 On the our cruise on the Sea May 1st, we took a 12 pack diet Pepsi, and 6 pack of bottled water. Carried them on the ship in plain sight, not one person said anything to us about them.So don't ask, just take them on. Sammy
pathubia Posted May 15, 2004 #13 Share Posted May 15, 2004 I plan on taking a brita water pitcher and filter on our cruise. I brought one last trip and it was easier than lugging water onboard, actually we filled our water bottles with vodka and rum, LOL.
