Best Exotic/Adventurous Cruise

Hello All,

 

I am looking to book a 7-8 day cruise for March 2006, departing on the 4th or 5th, and I wanted to get some advice, from some more experienced travelers, on which cruise I should book. I am 26 years old and I have only been on two cruises (The Valor and The Imagination) - I loved both.

 

The destinations I have been to include: Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Belize, Roatan Island, and Cozumel. I have particularly enjoyed the more cultured ports (i.e. Roatan and Jamaica) and I love adventurous exursions. Does anyone have any input or advice on a particular ship or itinerary that would best suit my expectations? Below are a list of cruises I am currently interestd in:

 

1>Carnival Liberty (San Juan, Saint Thomas, Antigua, Tortola, and Nassau)

2>Carnival Destiny (San Juan, St. Thomas, Dominica, Barbados, and Aruba)

 

*** Are there any other cruise lines that someone may age should look into? Who has the best food?

 

*** Is the Destiny a nice ship (it looks older)?

If you are looking for a real adventuresome cruise I would check out Celebrity's expeditions. They go to places that you wouldn't even think about on Carnival, Royal Caribbean, or Princess. Prices can be higher than an average cruise.

If I had to pick between the Carnival Destiny and Carnival Liberty. I would go with the Destiny because the ports are much better. But check out Celebrity like Ericknow32 said.

I would also chose the Destiny over the Liberty due to the ports. I have taken the Destiny on that itinerary and loved both the ports and the ship. The islands are beautiful.
