Formal Nights

We are going on the Liberty 7 day Eastern Carribean cruise in June and I was wondering which nights will be the formal nights. Are they the two days at sea? TIA!

I hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but yes, they would be on the evenings of your days at sea. Many have posted that they are now called Elegant Night, with a slight relaxing of the dress code, especially on the second Elegant night. Definitely dress up if you desire as most others will. Lots of photo opportunities, also. Have always found the nice clothes add to the festivities of a nice evening, not just the dining. Going to shows, casino, lounge are all part and parcel of an elegant night. Kind of sad there are those too lazy to make an effort to put on a nice outfit.

I just looked at your sailing itinerary.

The 1st night would be Monday your 1st sea day.

The 2nd night ... that has me miffed .... usually it is on a Thursday but it appears you have a late port day on Thursday.

However your Wednesday port day is early and that is usually when the 2nd cruise elegant night would fall.

If I were to place a bet .. I would say Monday and Wednesday.

Thank you for your reply, I'd back your wager , too. I checked the itinerary for the sea days. My experience has been they were on sea days, your answer makes more sense.

It's been my experience that they are usually on sea days, too, unless the sea day is the last full day of the cruise. They don't want to have formal/elegant night when everyone is trying to pack. But mostly, they want to have a full day to sell the photos they took. I have not looked at the itinerary, and am not arguing with anyone, just making a general observation.

You know, the bit about selling the photos makes the most sense to me!
