Hi Everyone

Hope you can help

We are visiting Aruba for the first time on 17th January 2012 with the Ventura - and we are looking for some help from experienced hands on how to spend our day

Our retired parents are joining us, and although we are all pretty active snorkelling isnt really an option. Instead we are looking for ideas around an inexpensive tour or bus ride we could arrange ourselves (as the crusie tours can be so expensive) followed by a nice afternoon on a beautiful beach

Could any Aruba experts lend a hand - we'd really appreciate it

I would suggest a private taxi tour with the taxi driver Bully. He can tailor the tour to your budget and interests. Rates are $45 per hour for a maximum of 5 people per vehicle. A 3 hour tour for 4 people would end up being $34 per person before tip. He has a large comfortable air conditioned van. It is well worth the money and you won't be packed on a tour bus with 40 other people.

Following your tour he can drop you off at a beach of your choosing. You could make arrangements for him to return to pick you up and take you back to your ship at an appointed time or you could make your own way back to the ship via taxi or public bus.

Thanks for your help - will look into this now

Could you reccomend a great relaxing beach?

If you are looking for calm water, a lot of watersports and activities, Palm beach.

Quiet and low key, and perhaps a chance of some waves, I would go with Eagle beach.
