DoctorSparkles Posted January 4, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2012 I LOVE my bugaboo cameleon and my son who will be 11 months on our first cruise in March hates being strapped into things at the best of times, but is quite content in his pram. We are on a 12 night south pacific cruise on Radiance of the Seas....will the bugaboo cameleon be too big for this ship? Has anyone else taken their bug on board? I really don't want to have to get an umbrella/layback pram as I don't want to have to transition him etc
kandjrolls2 Posted January 15, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 15, 2012 I would not take your bug. It is too big and too pricey to replace if something happened to it. I would recommend you getting a smaller stroller now to start the transition. I found a used Bee on CL.
Liltx31 Posted January 15, 2012 #3 Share Posted January 15, 2012 I would buy a Combi super light stroller. They have one that is 6lbs. At 11 months he should do just great in it. It does recline unlike alot of other umbrella type strollers. It is also inexpensive. 11 month olds are ready the learn to be flexible. In fact cruising in itself will be a lesson in flexibility for him. He will love it!
parrotthead Posted January 24, 2012 #4 Share Posted January 24, 2012 Also look at the Chicco LiteWay. It reclines Fully (to flat) and has a foot cover that can be folded under when baby is sitting up. Still lightweight and folds very small to fit in closet... staceyeileen Posted January 25, 2012 #5 Share Posted January 25, 2012 Isn't the chamelon still huge when "folded" and you have to take the seat off and everything? Yeah, not a good choice...
parrotthead Posted January 25, 2012 #6 Share Posted January 25, 2012 bugaboo is nice, but is very bulky. esp for wheeling around the ship. attaching a pic of GingerBaby in his new LiteWay, we decided on this one after 'extensive research' and trying out many many different ones... pro/cons./.... this one won... for several reasons.
