Snorkeling Adventures

Seems like there's lots of info on dive trips but we snorkel. Last time we were in Cozumel we tried 2 different tours, and they were both a little cheesy. Looking for a good guide who may give you more than a few beers.

Been to Cozumel at least five times. We've taken a cab and snokeled from shore our very first time. Was cool because that was the first time snorkeling!

Since then, we tried two catamaran tours and both we've been rather disappointed in...through the ship. Our last was two years ago and we decided we won't do the again through the ship, we didn't even stay on the boat to come back to the ship! We told them we'd find our way back. We walked from the "private beach they docked us at to Playa Mia beach, which is not far at all, and took a cab back from there, which wasn't bad either. The catamaran trip was a joke. We could see the ship the whole time. They were the worst crew we'd ever had too....very much into themselves and NOT the people on the tour.

We've been on many cat tours through Carnival and Royal Caribbean. Most have been wonderful! It's usually our fav thing to do on the trip.

Sorry I can't recommend something more helpful.

We go in Feb. this year on the Bar Hop....something a bit different for us, never done anything like it. Decided we'd wait til our Belize stop for the barrier reef tour.

I did almost book the tour to Xcaret while in Cozumel, maybe next time.

Good luck!

You will like Eagle Ray Divers. Don't let the "Divers" in the title scare you off. They take both snorkelers and divers. Each group, small, have their own guide. The full day visits three offshore reefs. Usually Palancar, Columbia and one other by choice. Last time the third was Punta Sur: Magnificent.

The boats are small, but that's a good thing.:)
