MidtheNight Posted May 7, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 7, 2004 Have you tried contacting the manager of the travel agency? You never know...you're t/a could have developed medical problems, left the agency, etc. I would start with the manager first but if all else fails yes, you can change t/a's. NCL will have to be notified so that the commission is sent to the correct agency though. We had to do that once when our t/a left the agency and absolutely no one including the manager would help us with anything else. It was their loss though because when we left (2 cruises a year typically), my in-laws left (4-5 cruises a year typically of the nice big expensive type), and a couple of friends I referred to them also left...and none of us has used them since. I simply found another t/a right away and while at their office we contacted NCL explained that I was changing t/a's for lack of service and the switch was made...our questions answered, our payment was made and we even booked another cruise with the same t/a and received the same stellar service. A good t/a is worth hanging onto....a bad t/a needs to get the boot! Sailin' on the Wind 5/29/
bratsuzy Posted May 8, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 8, 2004 it sound just like the T A i had. If i were you I would tell them unless he return my call Ill switch my booking. JUst make sure enought time had not lapes so if you cancel you ,would pay a fine! Most TA once they have your money don't want to know from you. Call & demand to speak to his supervior if he does not take your call. Suzanne & Michael & my little doggie (Tyler)

I have used them many times of the past 10 years including 4 times last year. I never had a problem but if you are expecting timely answers to question you are better off here on CC. Average time for a callback 2 days. Requested on a Manday they check on an upgrade, they did, on Thurs, non remaining. If you know what you want and enjoy a great fare, CVC is fine. If you demand a level of support find a lower volume TA with less turn over. deb1835 Posted May 8, 2004 #6 Share Posted May 8, 2004 I haven't had any problems with Cruise Value and they have answered my e-mails within a day. Just received our cruise documents today and we couldn't be happier. We saved quite a few $$ booking through them. bratsuzy Posted May 8, 2004 #7 Share Posted May 8, 2004 A travel Agent will give treat you better. But the brokers get you the better prices! Suzanne & Michael & my little doggie (Tyler)
kadao Posted May 8, 2004 #8 Share Posted May 8, 2004 My TA through an on-line broker retired after he booked our cruise. He said he would still take care of us till we sail. It still made me nervous that something might go wrong since he retired so I called NCL and let them know his change of address (from his office to his home). NCL was great. They answered all of my questions, (and there were many!), I have been in contact with NCL several times and about 3 weeks ago received my cruise documents with no problem. I have heard many complaints about NCL's customer service, but they were great and eased my fears after I found out my TA retired.
