TeamBozo Posted January 12, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 12, 2012 Do you know if the Seabourn Middle East trip in December went to Cairo and Luxor? We are thinking of taking the March cruise, but are concerned that those ports will be canceled. Have you heard anything about the March trip? Do you happen to know how long the visa process for Dubai and Egypt takes? Thank You
Seabourntraveller Posted January 12, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 12, 2012 Do you know if the Seabourn Middle East trip in December went to Cairo and Luxor? We are thinking of taking the March cruise, but are concerned that those ports will be canceled. Have you heard anything about the March trip? Do you happen to know how long the visa process for Dubai and Egypt takes? Thank You Yes the Legend did go to Egypt but not the scheduled stop of Port Said which was canceled for anyone that wanted to go into Cairo and see the Pyramids and Sphynx. We did call on Safaga and also Sharem el Sheik and they did run the tours to Luxor and Karnak. I doubt they will stop in either Alexandria and/or Port Said in March if the unrest continues as it is currently. Visa process depends on your Nationality for Dubai, U.A.E. They were also offering the Visa Service for Dubai onboard the Legend at a cost of $107.00 per person. The Visa for Egypt is obtained for you by the ship and is issed as a "quick trip" which is valid for 72 hours in Egypt. There are no fees for this visa. Hope this helps.
