Shirley and Les Posted May 1, 2004 #26 Share Posted May 1, 2004 Duck and Danno at the same table on a cruise??? Can you imagine the conversation at the dinner table??? Waiter: "Breast of duck is our feature tonight. Sir, what would you like? (turning to Danno.) The wine stewart arrives at this time and states to the table, "Ice wine is not available from Celebrity but if you have some, it will be poured at a charge of $12 per bottle. Is ice wine anything like that stuff that you can buy in mylar bags. You know, the stuff that sells for about $15 for five litres." Danno immediately smashes the wine cooler over the wine stewart's head, denting his little silver cup in the process. The waiter, now trying to deflame the incident says, "Sir?" Danno: "Dunno? How, about you, Duck?" Danno: (answering waiter) "Please take the other gentleman's food order." Duck: "I need another drink. Go ahead and order, Danno." Waiter: Were you talking to me, sir? (to Danno) Danno: (answering Duck) I don't want to offend (pronounced 'ooooofend' in Canadian) by eating one of your ancestors. (Danno also snickers under his breath because he secretly loves roasted duck on REPO cruises.) Waiter: "Sir" trying to respond to anyone who is listening. Duck: "Aaaflack" Waiter: "Sir" Duck: "Aaaflack" Waiter: "Thank you sir. I will see if we have Canadian bacon for dinner. Lately, we have had complaints about the toughness of Canadian things. Duck: "I can feel your pain. How about a steak?" Waiter: "Unforturnately, I already have a stake in this. Now, how about you, sir(asking Danno)?" Danno: "I know the duck won't agree with my digestive system. How about a grilled cheese sandwich and a bowl of tomato soup?" Waiter: "Of course, sir." Everyone has dinner and the waiter brings two of every dessert wondering what happened???? The lights dim and the voyage continues.

mpickett2000 Posted May 1, 2004 #28 Share Posted May 1, 2004 thanks for hte information on table for 2, I'll be sure to ask TA and then again once on board. Hopefully it works out : )
quote:
Originally posted by usha:
quote:
Originally posted by mpickett2000: anyone know if we can get a table for 2 if we don't want tablemates thanks

mpickett2000, when you book your cruise, ask your TA to request a table for 2. As much as we've enjoyed the tablemates we've had, sometimes it's just more romantic to dine "just the two of you". Celebrity has always given us the type of table we requested, including the tables for 2.

NitaBcruising Posted May 1, 2004 #29 Share Posted May 1, 2004 S and L, So funny! I can just picture it! Duck and Danno, you really should cruise and dine together. You'd have a lively table!!! BTW, we like a larger table. It's fun to get to know others onboard. We usually end up doing activites and tours together. Just more fun sharing! Nita
