internet access

Can anyone tell me if you can use your own lap top to check emails and how much it will cost to go online on the Sovereign?

I have heard that you can pay $100.00 for a week and have unlimited Internet access from your room--on some ships. Otherwise, you are stuck with using the service onboard--cannot remember how much per minute. I used it last year to check on our girls, but I may not use it at all this time. I am definitely not going to pay for a week's access.
