kellieann5 Posted January 22, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2012 Has anyone done this? I have a tour scheduled for the day with Marva Shaw and she has advised that just Prospect Plantation alone is $32 per person. Considering that her all-day transport service is only $35 per person, $32 seems awfully expensive to me! What do you get for $32?
dnj1 Posted April 28, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 28, 2014 I would also like to know how Prospect Planatation works. Would be getting a private tour guide for the day as well? How much are the activities there? Any info.?
dnj1 Posted April 28, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 28, 2014 Also, is it worth going there from Mo Bay?

cherski Posted March 27, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 27, 2015 We did the cooking class at Prospect Plantation as a ship excursion from Oasis of the Seas on March 17. Since we had already done Dunn River Falls, Mystic Mountain, and Tubing, we were looking for something different. We are glad we chose this. The drive from Falmouth is about 10 minutes farther than DRF. Once we got there, we had some fruit punch (there was also a cash bar for beer) while we waited for our ride. We boarded our buggy which held 15 of us and was pulled by a tractor through the plantation. The driver, Duncan, would stop often and point out sights and flora. It took about an hour with all the stops, but we learned more about Jamaica than we have in 5 previous stops. Plus, he is incredibly funny. The final destination, high on a hill, was the great house, for our cooking class. This took place on the veranda, overlooking the gardens and the Caribbean. We each cooked a full meal including jerk chicken, shrimp with vegetables and rice, bread, and dessert. Water was provided and beer and wine were available for purchase. It was more than enough to eat. After lunch we received a short tour of the house. They also had Dune Buggies doing a tour which we glimpsed every now and then.
