Shell Collecting in Nassau

Are there any rules for collecting shells and stuff that we need to worry about when we visit in April?

No live specimens.. but that's about it.

Keep in mind that conch or whelk that has not been cleaned and bleached out will stink by the time you get it home. Better to buy them cleaned.. there's usually a few people near port that will sell them for a few buck.

Thanks for mentioning this .. I'd like to buy a conch shell and was wondering if I'd have to hunt them down in shops. What's a fair (estimated) price to offer for both me and the seller?
