To everyone who may happen to read this post...

 

I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for the information that they have shared on this board. I've been perusing these boards for the past couple of weeks, and this is only my second post. (The first was a test of my signature... so in essence this is only my first real post)

 

I would like to commend everyone for the quality of information that you have shared on this board. I've never cruised before, and for every question that I had, I could find an answer to on this forum, just by doing a little bit of searching. Flames were minimal, and that is also commendable.

 

The information that you shared helped me to determine things as simplistic as:

 

- Should I use a TA or not... decided to book through RCI over the phone.

- Do I need cruise insurance... decided to take it.

- Will the Superbowl be shown on the ship during our cruise? Should be, based upon the posts, as well information provided by the RCI Cruise Agent.

- Along with a host of other things from room types & location, to excursions, to what dining seating to consider, to formal attire, to beverage cards, to what to bring on the cruise, pre-tipping, etc., etc.

 

I also learned very important tips such as...

 

- Don't save / hog deck chairs... real touchy subject. :D

 

I'm not one to post much on forum boards, but did want to take the time to thank everyone for sharing their experiences on boards such as this one. They were very helpful in assisting me to make my decision to book a cruise.

 

To date my experiences with researching and booking the cruise has been wonderful. My RCI Cruise Specialist who assisted me with my booking was simply superb. If the rest of my upcoming vacation goes so well, I'll be addicted I'm sure.

Welcome to CC :D :D Our first RCI cruise was on the Grandeur, allbeit it was 7 years ago, however, we absolutely loved that ship :)

That was a nice thing to post! I am in complete agreement with thanking all of those who provide such great information on this board. I have become somewhat addicted to this site in the last few weeks and am amazed at the tips and info I've picked up. I am now quite prepared (and EXCITED) for my first cruise - leaving in a week!! :)
