Athens Airport Question

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get from the cruise ship terminal to the Athens airport?

Early morning (until 8:00am) or late night (from 9:00pm to 8:00am next day): 35-45 minutes.. all other hours, if you are lucky, 50-60 minutes.

I need to get to the airport from the port as well and I see my cruise line is quoting me a transfer for two people of $265.00!!! I did this 2 years ago and dont remember it being this high. Can I just get a cab to the airport from the port? How much will the cost be?

PS Thanks for the info on transfer times as we are leaving the port at 6:15 am and thought the ride would take longer.
