Yarrowfell Posted February 7, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 7, 2012 We have booked a cruise (Legend - 28th Oct) via the Carnival site. We book an Early Saver rate. I have a few questions: Can I transfer the booking to a travel agent in US? Is there any advantage? Can you put a bit each week into your onboard account via the carnival site? Thought this would be a good way of doing it. Thanks for any replies.

No real advantage and it would mean that all future issues, questions, etc would have to be handled via the travel agent. Right now you can call carnival anytime and any PVP can help you. I have used travel agents in the past and do not plan to do it again unless they had a significantly cheaper price. I am sure some will give you a good answer on contributing to your account. I see a lot of posts about buying drink coupons, pre-paying tips, and such to have the trip mostly paid for by sailing. Kinda like a christmas club account. I do not do that so I am not much help with specifics.
serene56 Posted February 7, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 7, 2012 http://www.carnival.com/bonvoyage/addtocart.aspx?cat=giftcertificates&pid=fsd I buy one of these every pay before my cruise. This cruise I racked up 700.00 of onboard credit. I have them mailed to me and carry them onboard and visit the guest services to have them applied. We also pre pay tips after final payment
