How strict are they on the size....

How strict are they on the size of the non-alcoholic beverage bottles? I don't want to spend a small fortune buying all 20oz bottles to bring onboard. I have a couple of 6 packs of bottled soda for both hubby and myself-- they are 24oz sized bottles.......will they let me bring them or are they very strict on the size?

Depends on who does the checking. The best guess is maybe. Be prepared to lose them.

Not sure if the 24's will slip through. As far as Galveston in our last 2 , they have really scrutinized us. I am almost getting tired of it, but I guess if I raised hell with them, they would just make it harder. I would stick with 20 oz.

We used the 8-packs of plastic 12 oz bottles. They're re-sealable and don't get warm before you're done drinking them. Also, much cheaper than buying individual 20oz bottles.

Really does depend on who is checking. I'd give it a try, but be prepared to have them taken.

 

I also prefer the bottles, so I can reseal them, instead of a can.
