Walking to Cruise Terminal from Ambassador Hotel

I've heard varying opinions on how far the walk is from Ambassador to the cruise terminal. We will have minimal luggage and both are in pretty good shape.

It might help if you specified what city you're asking about. This board covers at least 5 different cruise port cities.

Assuming that you mean the Ambassador in New Orleans, it is walkable, less than a mile.

 

The hotel is on Tchoupitoulas. When you leave, take a right on Tchoupitoulas and go 3.5 blocks to Julia Street, Go left on Julia and cross Convention Center Blvd (a big divided street). You will see a walkway going to the Riverwalk. Take the escalator to the Riverwalk. When you enter, cross the Riverwalk and you will see a double door leading to an outdoor walkway that parallels the River. Follow the walkway to the end and there are stairs leading to the terminal.

 

It is easier than it sounds.
