Question for Recent Freedom cruisers

Hey all:

 

I was on Allure recently and they had for rent "Royal Connect" phones that looked like iphones that apparently had a compass uploaded to it as well as the ability to call/text connected phones. I was wondering if these were available on the Freedom.

Spent 2 weeks on the Freedom in Nov/Dec and didn't see anything like that...though, I might have missed it. If it was available it certainly wasn't widely used as I don't recall seeing people walking around with iphones.

We didn't see anything like that at all last week, and I was definitely looking. I only saw one person using any type of mobile phone device the entire week, aside from when we were leaving port and still had land-based signal.

I don't recall seeing anything about it in the Compass or anywhere else.

Pretty sure it's just Oasis and Allure. Hopefully they will roll out to rest of the fleet.
