Discover Scuba Diving in Bonaire

We are on the Emerald Princess 3/27 sailing and considering purchasing the "Discover Scuba Diving" excursion in Bonaire. Neither of us are certified and I'm a fairly new swimmer. Anyone done this excursion? Any advice? Thanks!

I know that your looking forward to the big day. I did my first Discover Dive in Aruba many years ago. I have now been Certified OW for 18 months and 35 dives ago.

Since your a new swimmer I would suggest you get some snorkel experence with sea life. You do not need to panic when you invade the rays, large schools of fish and large fish space (maybe turtles). You are a guest in their home.

I would be willing to guess the discover dive is in a feeding zone. You might what to check on this.

But get swimming comfort up.

Good luck,

John

The discouver scuba diving will get you hooked if you like being under the water. Being a new swimmer is not the greatest but make sure you explain it to your instructor.

What better place for your fist dive but Bonaire.

Happy diving.
