Hi Quacker Don and Randelee,

It was sad to hear about Sondra. She was a lovely lady. I enjoyed her company on our Island cruise.

Don, I hope you and Lee will get in touch with us before your LV Vacation, so we can get together, at least, for lunch or something..............would love to see you both.

Randelee, the best time to come to Las Vegas, weatherwise, is mid Spring, or mid Fall.................pools are open, skies are blue, and it's lovely. Check the LVCVA site for major conventions...........don't want to come when one is in town, hotel prices go sky high.

DesrtDrmr we plan to give you a shout and meeting up for lunch would be great. I deal with the traffic and etc. better in the day than at night. KQuilts are going to be here for dinner on Sunday so if your ears are burning it means we are talking about you. Quack - Quack

Hi Everyone,

I am getting back on my feet again and want to stop in and Thank all of you for your kind thoughts and prayers for my Mother. I am blessed to have been so close to her. She gave me a wonderful life and we shared many happy adventures as friends when I grew to an adult. I am pleased you met her, even for a brief time. She was my Cruise buddy and responsible for getting me hooked on cruising. I will miss her all the days of my life. But she always wanted my happiness so I know she would want me to make new plans for new adventures. So I am looking forward planning many more cruises and truley hope that I will be on one again with you.

I would love to take a cruise to Alaska 2006 or 2007. Has anyone thought about Alaska?

Don and Lee have a great time in Vegas this weekend. I think it is so nice Laine and Toby, that you offer to take the time to visit with all of us when we come.

What fun!

Karen, Roland, Don, Lee and I are planning another dinner get together at Cesars for February. I am really looking forward to that.

Hey Randelee, How did your cruise go? I hope you had smooth sailing and did not get caught up in the storms. Let us know!

Jane I am still holding good thoughts and have my fingers crossed for yor Dad and his speedy recovery. Give your family my best. And a happy anniversary to you two.

Hey Ho , how are you two doing?

Take care everyone. I hope we will all cruise together again.

I find myself already shopping the last minute deals that leave out of port here in Los Angeles. I can't help myself!

Happy cruiseing,

Robin

Hi Darlenelarson,

Were you asking about the rain forest hike and swim in the water falls?

I booked the excursion through the ship. They provide a ride in an air conditioned van over to Hana. The hike is on private property next to the Botanical gardens. It is a hike. Some of it steep, slippery or rockey. We did see an elderly couple who attempted to make the hike. They found that it was not possible.:( If you are in pretty good shape and have good balance it is a must do. They provide a sac lunch and we were provided the special rock shoes (socks). You won't be able to wear you own shoes. These rock shoes look like frogs feet. Very attractive LOL.

It is pristine and uncrowded and protected there. The waterfall is awsome. It was worth the trip. Don't let the cold water in the pool and waterfall keep you from diving in. You will regret it later if you don't indulge.

Go have a great time. I have taken this cruise a couple times. It is one of my favorites.

Don't forget to hook up with some of your CC members. I made some of the nicest friends on the cruise and I enjoy staying in contact with.:D

Smooth Sailing!

Hi - it's great to see some of the Island Princess gang is still out here. We had a great time in "Lost Wages" but as you can tell we didn't make any money. I always say that I know how to gamble but not how to win. I did win enough to stop the bleeding but that was about it. It was fun to talk about all of you with Laine and Toby. Hard to believe it's been 6 month since the cruise. We will be on the Sapphire Dec.3rd as a nice get-a-way before the Christmas panic. Quacker Don and Lee:)

Hi Mates,

I forgot this thread was still out there but it is sure nice to hear from everyone.

Robin,

you have our condolences.

Kquilt,

good luck with the job we wish you luck.

Jane,

we are glad all is well across the pond. The weather here is now great, mid 70's tree's turning colors and the Chief's won. We have about another 45 days until all hell breaks loose.

Quacker,

The Mexican Riv sounds nice and December should be a great month. Have fun.

DesrtDrnr,

How is Wynn's new place? I hear it is not as elaborate as some of his others were. I will be out in Feb for the Super Bowl. I used to make it out about 4 times a year now it seems it's only once for the Super Bowl, I wonder if Cindi has something to do with that.

We did just get back from the Caribbean Princess the first of September. She is a big ship but we liked her. Never went to MUTS but walked through a few times and it looked fun. We had been to all the ports several times so there was nothing new but it was a very relaxing cruise. If you go in the fall the price is right and it's hard to beat, I am sure we will do it again.

We are booked back on the Island Princess in May. If anyone can do this one it's a great deal. 9 days out of L.A.with ports in Santa Barbara, San Fran, Sitka, Katchacan, a Canadian port I don't recall and ends up in Vancouver. A balcony is going for under 1,000.00 but it is selling out quick. It was originally a 7 day cruise and was just changed to a 9 day. If anyone can make this it is May 6th.

Good luck everyone, great to hear from you.

Ho out

Hi Everyone, I'm glad everyone is still finding this thread. I was surprised to see it.

Robin: I was so sorry to hear about your Mom. I truly enjoyed the time I spent with her. I'm glad you have such wonderful memories. I wanted to send you an e-mail but I'm afraid I've misplaced your card. (It's not lost, just temporarily misplaced.)

Laine & Toby: We won't be getting to LV anytime soon. My son is getting married in 3 weeks. I'm looking forward to the start of their life together which will mean the end of the preparations!:) We just booked a Trans-Atlantic cruise on the Golden Princess leaving May 6th out of NY. We're also going on another cruise in February. So that will pretty much take care of vacation time for 2006.

Quacker: I'm glad you didn't lose everything in LV. It's nice you get to see one another. And K-Quilt, I'm glad you got your job.

Take care everyone.

Eileen
