We really enjoyed Music Highlights on the Freedom in Dec. Fabulous range of music. My husband and I love to dance and the music was great. I would love to sail with them again.

 

We also enjoyed the latin band but I don't remember the name of the group.

I heard from Carnival's Entertainment Dept,

which has not responded lately,:(that it was Music Connection as of 3/8 on Glory Another great band. (thanks to Mary49:))

So disappointed about that!! We're leaving on the Pride next Sunday and was keeping my fingers cross a band would be placed on the ship by then! Wishful thinking!! UGH!!

Pride IS getting a band as of May 20 -called "Celebration"

 

No word on Legend yet...

 

Liberty----Music Asia!!! as of4/21-1/2012

 

Fantasy----Music Boardwalk thru Sept 2012

 

Elation----Highrise as of 7/14

 

Dream---Music Hype thru May, and Blackjack returns, After that Music Hype goes to Ecstasy

 

Destiny...Music power begins on 5/14.

Thanks Mike. I still haven't booked anything for this summer. Kitchen remodeling, Senior Graduation and the PROM from H E double LL - still getting in the way. I'll keep watching for the band on the Magic in June/July.

Music Connection is fantastic, saw them on the glory and the freedom. What was funny is as good as those guys sing and play, they could barely speak english. Seemed awkward to hear a guy spit out Roy Orbison like he was his twin brother only to have the same guy look at me like I was wearing a paper hat when trying to speak to him..LOL I also recall both times we saw them, we also had a woman named Terry Jo who played keyboard and flute in the casino, she was horrible.

is there anyway you can find out if Music Network is still together? If they are, can you find out what ship they are on. Their drummer Rosauro Jong Asinas is one of the best I have ever heard.

Music Degree was on the Fantasy earlier this month. That doesn't fit your criteria, as that does 4- 5- and 6-days, but if you're just looking to find out the names of other bands, there you go. And they could move around between now and when you're looking to cruise.

 

They were pretty decent, I thought. We danced to them at the deck party. They also played in the Cats Lounge, and when they said something about it being Valentine's Day, someone shouted out "Wonderful Tonight" and they just started playing it. With a lot of the performers on the ships these days, if you request a specific song, they have to flip through the song book to find it, or just tell you they don't play that one.

 

They also appeared as the Beatles in the production show "Ticket to Ride."

 

We saw them on the Fantasy in January and really liked them. We hope they are on the Fantasy at the end of this month.

Jason - I think that seeing Music Boardwalk you will become a fan of theirs also. Especially with their new keyboard player Audie. One word about Audie 'FANTASTIC". Very high Energy and blends in great with Enrique and the guys. Audie is also fun to watch. Wait to you hear them do the traditonal "FreeBird" and "The Wall" to mention a few. They do a wide range of songs and also take requests. I just saw the new group on the Miracle and I'm sure you'll love them too. Now I have "Music Boardwalk Fever" and deciding whether or not to catch them before they go home.

 

Enjoy them and please post when you get back.

Yeah...not a fan, no stage presence. It was an Ausie country band called "Country Cruzers"... had no clue how to play any classic rock songs, even during 60'sand 70's night.

I was told they chose not to renew their contract with CCL.

They're the reason I research the bands and which ships they'll be on, before I book.

 

We're waiting on Blood Power's assignment for our late Jan 2012 cruise.

Probably find out within a month, evidently they're waiting on the req'd paper work for the new keyboard player.

Hi Mike, UPDATE - Enrique told me and PINKFLOYDFAN that "MUSIC BOARDWALK" will be on the FANSTASY UNTIL MIDDLE OF AUGUST.

 

Maybe this could be a start of a good thread if we can keep it going. Good job soo far Mike.

Hi everyone...I heard Tropical fire do some 80's 90's covers that were ok..really liked ther version of MJ's Human Nature which not many can do..they were on Spirit on the 5 day to Cabo Easter Sunday..did not hear Hi-lux, they needed more music with moving ship...wish Piano bar was better..not enough good music on that one..needed more than for the early 20's folks in the disco..they did have one MJ hour that was well danced to and sane, just good dancing and a full happy disco and floor..sarah

 

I am 52..love new Enrique Club musuc so don't think I am that bad for judging..but do love 70's to 90's dance and easy listening to be played alot..sarah
