Rare OttawaJohn Posted February 24, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2012 Can anyone confirm if where the NCL ships dock, there are things to do? Is there shopping or touristy stuff near here, or do you need to cab away to somewhere? Thanks in advance.
lax19 Posted February 24, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2012 The Port building has several shops to browse through. Downtown Bridgetown and Carlisle beach is about a 30 to 45 minute walk southeast of where the ship docks though there will be plenty of things to see on your walk. There will be plenty of taxi drivers offering rides to town or the beach. Bring up Bridgetown on Google maps for an idea of where the ship docks and where the main downtown area is. warmwatersailor Posted February 28, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 28, 2012 Lots of stores in the port, then there is Pelican Village with lots of craft shops on the way into Bridgetown. In Brigetown there is just about evey kind of store you can think of from the $2 store and Woolworth to high end jewelry and brand name clothing. If you are looking for something good to eat, the dock bar by the Jolly Roger is good and reasonable and the Waterfront Cafe is perfect is you are looking for something a little nicer.
