Cruise Arizona Posted March 4, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 4, 2012 I think that there is always something that teens can find to their taste, but it depends on if they have a very narrow or wide pallet. I have cruised 5 times on Celebrity with my kids and they loved the food. On the thread about the new menus there is a link to a couple of files with all the new menus. It is post #23. If you click on the links you can see all the menues including the vegetarian selections. If you are a vegan you can usually order one night ahead of time and they will let you know what they can prepare for you vegan. I think that they also have a special vegetarian menu in addition to the one selection on the main menus. Hopefully some one who specifically eats vegetarian who has cruised recently can answer that for you. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1582323&page=
AlanAllyn Posted March 4, 2012 #3 Share Posted March 4, 2012 There was no separate veggie menu when we sailed on the Equinox. However, the head waiter brought us the following night's menu each eening and asked, "What can I make for you?" They were more than willing to make things not on the menu (with a day's notice). Cruise Arizona Posted March 5, 2012 #4 Share Posted March 5, 2012 I remember the vegetarian menu from past cruises, but had thought they might have done away with the actual separate menu. Thanks for clarifying. :)
bighairtexan Posted March 5, 2012 #5 Share Posted March 5, 2012 If you're a lacto-ovo vegetarian you're in great shape. Some really nice selections. If you're a vegan it's more difficult but they'll do their best to accommodate you.
Dizney Posted March 5, 2012 #6 Share Posted March 5, 2012 There is usually a vegetarian selection on all MDR menus. Enjoy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
bjtomko Posted March 5, 2012 #7 Share Posted March 5, 2012 Just off Solstice and I am a vegetarian not vegan. Each night I was presented with a vegetarian menu for the following night. It consisted of one or two options for each section (starter, soup/salad, and entree). Only one of these would be listed on the main menu for that night. I found each meal great and was not limited by only having 2 things to select from in each section. The buffet was nicely labeled. I had great Indian and Thai options each day. They also have vegetarian pizza every day. There were several salad type dishes, couscous and steamed vegetables always available. BTW the Israeli couscous was the best I have ever eaten!
