Seward and Homer vs. Denali?

We're in the process of planning our August 2013 Southbound cruise with some extra days in Alaska & one in Vancouver afterwards.

 

After looking at all the pictures people post on Denali, the tourbooks, the websites, I'm sorry to say I'm just not as attracted to Denali as I am the Kenai Peninsula, Prince William Sound, Seward & Whittier! I'm very much drawn to the shoreline/mountain, lush vegetation, and glacier viewing. I'm concentrating our itinerary from Anchorage with excursions to Whittier with the 26 Glacier tour, a leisurely drive to Seward, stopping anywhere we can, a Kenai Fjords Northwestern Fjords tour, and other things.

 

Everyone likes something different, so go with what you are drawn to and enjoy seeing. You're on vacation after all!

Sounds like a great plan. Unfortunately at this time, we have decided to keep this trip as a round trip out of Vancouver on either the Zuiderdam or Volendam. I was pretty bummed about this at first because we finally decided to do the Kenai Peninsula instead of Denali. In the end it will just work out better to do the round trip because of budget and time off.
