annikin Posted March 6, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 6, 2012 We are interested in possibly doing a bicycle tour when we are in Nassau next year (during the winter months). Would a bike tour be a wise option to pursue? If so, is there a tour company/guide that anyone has had a positive experience with?
annikin Posted March 6, 2012 Author #2 Share Posted March 6, 2012 Bicycle tour as in off road tour, as we don't want to become speed bumps on route of the road system...lol
LaShelle2 Posted March 6, 2012 #3 Share Posted March 6, 2012 I cannot imagine riding a bike in Nassau. We rented scooters. BF is an experienced Harley rider and even he commented the traffic is a lot to deal with. They don't have the same pedestrian - biker friendly attidue we have in the states. If you get in the way, they will run you over and likely won't stop to check for a pulse LOL. The sidewalks would be impossible to ride on because there a tons of tourists. Perhaps there is a tour company that will take you on a bike ride away from all the maddness? But, NO WAY would I attempt a bike in town where all the action is. Just too dangerous.
