Can anyone suggest a good time or even strategy for arriving at the pier? Also, are there separate check-in lines for Latitudes members or Lat members in Garden Villa?

Hi we sailed on the Dawn May 16 th. We arrived at the pier around 1 PM. No Lines, We went right through check in etc. No Problems. We are Latt members and were sailing with another couple who were not. I asked if it was ok if they checked in with us, no problem again. I'd say we were in our room by 2 pm and at the pool by 2:30. Any questions please ask.

If you're in the garden villa, you will get VIP service and will be escorted onto the ship before everyone else. (At least that's how it was done the week I was on the Dawn) Second to board (and have their own line) are suites. Then latitudes members have their own lines - but they board with the non-members.

When we arrived there were 2 couples in front of us. I can not tell you of long lines at check in.

On our two Dawn cruises we arrived at 11:30/11:00 respectively, and were on board around 12:15/12:30. These cruises were in June/03 and April/04. Of course the big factors regarding when to arrive lie with what else is going on in NYC as far as traffic is concerned, and how many other cruise ships are in port.

 

Our goal is to get there early, and get the party started!!
