Double 07 Posted March 22, 2012 #26 Share Posted March 22, 2012 There are so many people who have made our many Thomson cruises really memorable. We've come across Gavin Carroll lots of times, when he's been ACD, an incredibly talented and funny man. Stephen Guy is a superb CD, and has helped make our cruises really memorable. I also remember fondly members of various showteams including Luisa and Lauren Wood, and last year on Thomson Spirit, I was constantly served drinks by the lovely Ruslana. On Thomson Dream in 2010 our waiter in Orion was Alexis who was great fun. Finally, I must mention Emma Boyd, who was the chief entertainment host on Thomson Destiny in 2009. She's a very funny and gorgeous lady who regrettably no longer works for Thomson's. A lovely, lovely person!! Dont forget the lovely Sonya :):):):) The entertainment team on the Dream in 2010 was the best ever! Who will we get on the Dream in August??? sweby Posted March 22, 2012 #29 Share Posted March 22, 2012 Sorry I can't remember the captains name, but the captain from Germany who was on the Dream last summer. You know the 'Hamburger!' He had some funny tales, or tales that were just funny, and he would tell us a different story each day. The first one was about the problem with his hand, which he went on about for some time, and I wasn't sure why he was sharing his medical experiences with everyone on the ship; but finally he got to the point, he couldn't shake our hand at the Captains cocktail party! However when you listened to some of his other stories he certainly had lots of interesting tales of his long career at sea. I wish i had followed his career path.
